The gallery, known for nearly three decades for its pivotal role in the recognition of 20th-century furniture and its work around figures such as Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Martin Szekely and Philippe Starck, here extends its approach toward the editing, production, and representation of designers. This evolution follows a practice grounded in formal rigor, material integrity, and a sustained dialogue between heritage and present-day creation. Within this context, Jousse entreprise presents the work of Edward Robinson, a British industrial designer based in London. The exhibition Continuity brings together Board, Dyad, and Cloche together at Jousse entreprise, situating these works within a broader reflection on the place of industrial design today, between airs de déjà-vu, ce matin de début mars : une rangée de vêtements sont placés sur des cintres, classés par silhouettes et alignés sur des portants. Ils sont prêts à être essayés, comme à la veille d’un défilé de mode. Dans les locaux de Maison Margiela, nichés dans une bâtisse de l’ouest de Paris, un groupe de jeunes mannequins s’exécute lorsque la styliste suisse Ursina Gysi, fidèle ­collaboratrice du designer Glenn Martens, à la tête des collections depuis février&nbsp;2025, s’exclame&nbsp;: « Essayons ça&nbsp;!&nbsp;» Les modèles enfilent alors une paire de bottes au talon en Plexiglas, une veste faussement usée ou encore un masque qui dissimule le visage. Après quelques pas, et si le look est validé, ils prennent la pose pour une photo devant un fond neutre. M le Monde&nbsp;En 1979, c’est la déferlante : Agnès b. invente le cardigan pression. «J’avais les cheveux très longs, très bouclés, et passer un sweat-shirt par la tête, ça m’énervait. Alors je me suis dit : “Je vais faire un modèle qui s’ouvre devant.” Les pressions, j’y ai pensé tout de suite.» C’est ainsi qu’est né le fameux «tchak!», le bruit métallique des treize pressions de nacre lorsqu’on les dégrafe d’un coup sec. Une série de boutons très rapprochés qui fait écho à son enfance versaillaise : «J’ai grandi à côté de la cathédrale Saint-Louis, je voyais beaucoup de prêtres en soutane. » La statue de Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinie, créateur du potager du roi au XVIIe siècle, habillé d’un pourpoint aux boutons bien rangés, l’a aussi inspirée. Tout comme «le tableau Gilles, de Watteau [tableau aujourd’hui intitulé Pierrot], avec Pierrot tout de blanc vêtu et sa veste boutonnée». Et certainement aussi les cardigans qu’elle boutonnait en courant sur le chemin de l’école... Apartamento Magazine&nbsp; Tucked away in a small village in Brittany, renowned designer and artist Ronan Bouroullec has made a home shaped by the demands of landscape and solitude—a former auberge turned sardine-canning factory, perched at the entrance of a small harbour, where the tide dictates the pace of each day.Ronan first put his skill and intuition to practise in the ‘90s, catching the eye of Giulio Cappellini at the Paris Salon du Meuble in 1997 and leading to his first steps into industrial design. His work has always been about form and feeling, about the tension between structure and fluidity. Here, in this remote corner of France, he is grounded by memories of his rural upbringing in the countryside, along with the dramatic landscape he has on hand—ever-changing weather, freezing sea, and the sheer beauty of a place that leaves you feeling both exhausted and amazed. 2024 14:02:52 +0000 marionberrin https://marionberrin.com/Jean-Prouve-M-le-Monde Jean Prouvé&nbsp; M le Monde&nbsp; A Vantoux, dans la campagne lorraine, un établissement scolaire conçu en 1951 par Jean Prouvé retrouve une seconde jeunesse. L’édifice, dont chaque détail est caractéristique du style de l’architecte et designer français, accueille depuis mai une galerie d’art contemporain. C’est l’un des éléments de mobilier les plus célèbres du design : le pied compas en métal, support en forme de V inversé dessiné par Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), dont la structure angulaire associe stabilité parfaite et légèreté visuelle. Utilisé principalement pour des tables et des chaises, le pied compas s’inspire des principes d’ingénierie sur lesquels s’appuyait Jean Prouvé dans ses projets. Ce que l’on sait moins, c’est que cet ingénieur de formation, qui a conçu de nombreuses maisons, a décliné cette forme iconique en architecture.
