Maria Grazia Chiuri
ODDA Magazine
The course of Dior’s history has become a magnificent example of not only the
continuation of heritage and tradition, but its persistent existence alongside
the changes of modernity. However, there is little comparison to be made
when Maria Grazia Chiuri is thrown into the conversation. Having taken over
in 2016 as Creative Director of Women’s Haute Couture, Ready-to-Wear
and Accessories collections, Maria Grazia’s vision, discipline and femininity
has propelled the very essence of the luxury label into a new era. Yet, while
her existence as a woman has certainly weaved itself into her direction for
Dior, much of the relaying conversation still surrounds her womanhood
rather than the journey of talent and work that she has undergone. Getting
personal with Chiuri, we discover the driving forces behind the visionary and
the reasons why her actions hold such an intimate standing for her.
